For grades K-5 only. Learn about buoyancy and use household materials to build a boat strong enough to carry 20 pennies.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Registration is recommended for this program for children in grades K-5 only. Walk-ins are welcome while program supplies last. This is a come-and-go program, but doors will close to new arrivals at 5:15. Activities are self-paced and will not last the entire length of the program. 

When registering, please enter the name of the participating student.

  • Please do not register caregivers or younger/older siblings so that registration spaces are left available for participants in Grades K-5.
  • Younger and older siblings are welcome to be in the room, but only participants in Grades K-5 are guaranteed to receive supplies.
  • Children under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult as some activities may be challenging for younger participants.
  • Caregivers must remain in the Library while their child is in the program. This is not a drop-off program.
  • Registration for each month's program will open the week prior.

About the branch

First built on its current site in 2000, the Flower Mound Public Library completed a renovation in 2020. This 40,000 square foot facility includes a quiet reading area, seven study rooms, outdoor patios in the Adult and Children’s areas, and a Creation Lab.
