Flower Mound Public Library
Children's Program RoomFamilies will learn about nature & plants through story, nature, and hands-on activities in our Learning Garden!
Caring for nature and plants isn’t only for spring! Families with early elementary aged children will explore plants with hands-on gardening skills and botany activities. Each session will consist of a story read, nature lesson, and hands-on activities to build excitement and skill interacting with nature. Kids will learn botany related topics such as seed germination, indoor plant care, the water cycle, and terrariums! Warm weather and safety permitting, sessions will be held outdoors on the youth patio or in the Learning Garden. In case of poor weather, sessions will take place in the storytime room.
This session is designed for grades K-3 and their families. Grades 4-7 and their families are encouraged to attend Blooming Botanists.
This is a ticketed event. Tickets are available first-come, first-served at the Children's Desk starting 30 minutes before the program begins.
