Children in grades K-5 are invited to explore the basics of energy with a marshmallow catapult!
STEMsters is a nonprofit organization led by high school volunteers that introduces young learners to science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities. The program focuses on interactive, project-based learning that encourages curiosity and problem-solving.
Each session begins with a brief overview of the experiment and instructions, followed by guided project-building with instructor support. Programs conclude with testing the projects and explaining the science concepts involved.
Designed for children in grades K–5, this session will feature a marshmallow catapult experiment that explores the basics of kinetic and potential energy.
