Celebrate National Poetry Month with this generative workshop invites poets of all levels to explore three iconic forms from different traditions: the sonnet, the haiku, and the villanelle. Participants will learn the history and structure of each form, examine how master poets have bent the rules to create lasting works, and practice writing their own pieces within (and against) these constraints.

First built on its current site in 2000, the Flower Mound Public Library completed a renovation in 2020. This 40,000 square foot facility includes a quiet reading area, seven study rooms, outdoor patios in the Adult and Children’s areas, and a Creation Lab.
