Earth-Kind® Design is an approach to landscaping that is both earth-friendly and practical. This presentation serves as an introduction to sustainable design and installation techniques for creating or renewing your home landscape.
Presenters: The Denton County Master Gardener Earth-Kind® Design Team of instructors has over 30 years of combined knowledge, experience, and service as Master Gardeners. Their additional certifications include Native Plant Landscapes, Rainwater Harvesting, Water Shed, Texas Superstar Plants, and Earth-Kind. They collaborated to develop an introductory landscape design class and a 30-hour landscape design course with lecture, demonstration, and experiential components. The team is passionate about landscape sustainability and wants to help others discover a shared vision of living in harmony with Mother Earth.

First built on its current site in 2000, the Flower Mound Public Library completed a renovation in 2020. This 40,000 square foot facility includes a quiet reading area, seven study rooms, outdoor patios in the Adult and Children’s areas, and a Creation Lab.
