Presenter Stephanie Haass is a homesteading mother of two with a passion for small-scale food production who loves helping people learn skills that can empower them to feed themselves and their families through mobile farm education. She has been raising chickens and other homestead poultry for nearly a decade and shares practical knowledge on breed selection, husbandry, poultry nutrition, and how to preserve all those extra eggs! An avid AgriLife Volunteer, she is also a club manager for the Heart of Denton Homesteading 4-H Club in Denton. First built on its current site in 2000, the Flower Mound Public Library completed a renovation in 2020. This 40,000 square foot facility includes a quiet reading area, seven study rooms, outdoor patios in the Adult and Children’s areas, and a Creation Lab.
