Join Massachusetts resident Vernon Chandler for a engaging presentation on his journey through Europe retracing the footsteps of his fallen cousin and other WWII soldiers.
Join us for a fascinating presentation, A WWII European Tour, with Massachusetts resident Vernon Chandler. In September 2022, Mr. Chandler embarked on a two-week, 1,800-mile driving tour through Europe to trace the footsteps of his first cousin, Pvt. Kenneth Miller, who was killed in Germany on October 18, 1944. Kenneth was 19 when he died, and his remains were never found. Additionally, Mr. Chandler will share the stories behind his visits to the WWII graves and memorials of several citizen soldiers from Medford, MA, Reading, MA, and Hamilton, MA. His journey closely followed the path of the famed Band of Brothers throughout Europe.
